The Client

As a non profit trade association, IMOA represents the majority of the molybdenum industry worldwide, working in the interests of its members to develop and maintain access to markets through comprehensive programmes of market development and HSE activity. Stratia has developed, implemented and evolved an integrated communications strategy for IMOA since 2010.

The Brief

When molybdenum is added to many alloys, like stainless steels, it vastly increases, their strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. This makes molybdenum-containing alloys sustainable materials of choice, the world over by architects and specifiers for a broad range of applications. We were tasked with developing a strategy to demonstrate molybdenum’s contribution to sustainable development.

 The Solution

It was very apparent that only by adding a small amount of molybdenum to an alloy has a huge impact in terms of enhanced properties. This was the premise of the programme we devised entitled ‘MoRE FOR LESS’. It showcases molybdenum’s wide-reaching sustainability credentials across many applications as well its use in agriculture to increase crop yields. The programme included audience engagement through the media, IMOA website, and in detailed case studies and in-depth LCAs.

We’ve worked with Stratia since 2010 and during that time have developed a successful and proactive communications programme that has directly supported the breadth of IMOA’s work.
